Courses will be held at our Tweed Campus at 19-20/8 Corporation Circuit Tweed Heads South 2486 and will also be available in Inverell and Coffs Harbour and Lismore. Certificate II in Security Operations CPP20212 – 1ACE Security Licence
This course covers the mandatory requirements for all new entrants into the Security Industry in New South Wales. This course will provide you with all the skills, knowledge and attributes required to work as an unarmed static and/or mobile patrol guard, a loss prevention officer working in retail, a crowd controller at clubs, pubs, sporting events and concerts, and a control room operator. At the successful completion of this course you will be able to apply for either a 1 year or 5-year NSW Security Licence issued by the Security Licensing Enforcement Directorate. (SLED) Please Note: All applicants must also hold a current First Aid Certificate in addition to the Certificate II in Security Operations CPP20212.
Course Entry Requirements:
Students must be at least 17 years and 6 months of age to commence training and they must be over 18 years of age to apply for a security licence.
You must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen or hold a Visa that entitles you to full work rights in Australia (persons on Student or Holiday Visa are not permitted to undergo security training
You must have had NO criminal convictions in the past 10 years or NO non-convictions in the past 5 years. Fact Sheet No. 6.(view here)

You must complete and pass a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Test as part of the enrolment process.

Courses are conducted full-time. Courses cover the mandatory 102 hours of face-to-face training as required by SLED.
The course is conducted over 11 days AND First Aid is conducted over 1 day – Monday to Saturday each week from approximately 8.00am to 7.00pm. First Aid is then conducted on the Saturday of the second week of training from 8.00am to 4.00pm with an additional 8 hours of self-paced study.
