 Qualification Description

This qualification is designed for individuals who need skills to prepare for a vocational pathway qualification or further foundation skills development.

It is suitable for individuals who require:

  • a prevocational pathway to employment and

vocational training

  • reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Level 2
  • entry level digital technology and employability skills
  • education, training and employment goals.

Pathways from the qualification

Upon successfully completing the Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways students may undertake a Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways or a Certificate II in any other industry. There are many pathways to consider and the correct one will be determined by the individual’s personality and attributes.

This course is available online as standalone units. Statements of attainment will be issued upon successful completion of each units. See below list. Participants completing the entire list of units including 3 electives chosen by the Gold Coast Training College Support Team will be awarded a Certificate I in skills for vocational pathways.

Participants may study one unit of competence at a time or may also study individual units to upgrade current skills.

Individual units are charged at $250 per unit.
