We are pleased to announce that Gold Coast Training College has been registered and approved by the NSW Security Licensing Enforcement Division (SLED) as an approved training organisation. The College is also an Approved Provider for the NSW Department of Education skilling for recovery initiative. This course is for Hotel Quarantine and is available in the Sydney Region only.
This course is fee free for eligible applicants.

Certificate II in Security Operations CPP20218 – 1AC Security Licence
This course covers the mandatory requirements for all new entrants into the Security Industry in New South Wales. This course will provide you with all the skills, knowledge and attributes required to work as an unarmed static and/or mobile patrol guard, a loss prevention officer working in retail, a crowd controller at clubs, pubs, sporting events and concerts, and a control room operator. At the successful completion of this course you will be able to apply for either a 1 year or 5-year NSW Security Licence issued by the Security Licensing Enforcement Directorate. (SLED) Please Note:
Course Entry Requirements:
Students must be at least 17 years and 6 months of age to commence training and they must be over 18 years of age to apply for a security licence.
You must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen or hold a Visa that entitles you to full work rights in Australia (persons on Student or Holiday Visa are not permitted to undergo security training
You must have had NO criminal convictions in the past 10 years or NO non-convictions in the past 5 years. Fact Sheet No. 6.(view here)

You must complete and pass a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Test as part of the enrolment process.
